Our base idea is to focus on more of a social entrepreneurship aspect. We would like to sell a product and have half of the proceeds get donated in some form to charity. We don't just want to donate the money, we want to donate a product that will make a lasting impact on people's lives. We're debating on what products to sell and what charity to donate to. From talking to people around campus, we got an overwhelming response that people wanted their money to go to cancer research funding. We're thinking that we could use half of our profits to give a product to cancer patients that . For the products we will sell we are currently debating between water bottles and sunglasses. We found a website where we can get customizable water bottles that are biodegradable for $1.49 each with an order quantity of 50. We think this would be a good idea because we can promote environmental sustainability with these water bottles, which will help our image as a socially responsible company. We also have some ideas on how we can market the product, apart from selling directly to students. Since fraternities and sororities all have philanthropies, we were thinking we could set up a competition where whichever fraternity or sorority buys more of our product, we can donate half of the proceeds to their philanthropy. Currently, we are playing around with different logo designs for our products. We are really looking forward to beginning our venture!! Here is a picture of us being studious.
